Synopsis:
A struggling mother steals her sister’s bracelet to buy a scooter for her son to deliver her delicious pies. However, it’s stolen, and a desperate journey ensues as they scour the chaotic streets of Beirut to find it, but quickly they become embroiled in the city’s complex sectarianism. As tensions rise and family secrets are revealed, finding the scooter is at stake and so is the family’s unity.

Mira Shaib
Mira Shaib is a Lebanese director and screenwriter celebrated for her compelling storytelling and strong cultural ties. Her debut feature film, Arzé, filmed in Beirut in 2022, premiered at the Tribeca Festival and is currently touring international festivals across Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Prior to Arzé, she garnered acclaim for her short film Lilacs, which was developed during a residency at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and later distributed by Mad Solutions and MBC's Shahid platform. Shaib has also directed segments for the educational web series Film Arabi, aimed at nurturing filmmaking talent in the Arab world. Completing her MFA in Film Production at Concordia University in 2024, she is now working on her second feature film alongside her Arzé collaborators.
