Born in Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Shukhrat Ibragimov later moved to Kazakhstan where he graduated with a Business Management and Economics degree. He is fluent in Russian, English, French and Turkish.

Shukhrat is currently Head of Business Development for a leading mining company operating in Kazakhstan, Africa and Latin America. The company is a member of the “Global Battery Alliance” initiative, which promotes sustainable battery production and implements Blockchain technologies to set up transparent processes to control and eliminate child labour in the mining industry.

He serves on the Boards of several companies working in the fields of Gold Mining, Banking, Insurance and Technology and is Vice President of the Foreign Investors and Businessmen Association. He also invests in and supports many start up IT/Technology companies ranging from Fintech and Music to Social Networks.

In addition, Shukhrat supports many charities throughout the world including numerous orphanages in several countries, retirement homes in third world countries, schools, kindergartens as well as new projects in Africa which provide sustainable water to people living in remote locations.
