Aya Mheidly

Born and raised in vibrant Beirut, Aya’s journey to Los Angeles profoundly shaped her cinematic perspective. This cultural shift deepened her connection to her roots and highlighted the importance of sharing often-overlooked stories. As an award-winning screenwriter and director, Aya's screenplay Ghomeeda garnered recognition at an Oscar-qualifying film festival. She also adapted ithe screenplay into a book.

Dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices, she co-founded "The Hollyoud Club," aimed at uniting the SWANA community through film. Through her work, Aya invites the world to celebrate the rich tapestry of experiences that define us, bridging cultural gaps and honoring the narratives that often go unheard.
