Korean-American filmmaker, David Boo, was educated and began his film career in South Korea.

From 2010 - 2017, he worked on numerous independent projects in Korea as an assistant director, alongside some of Korea’s finest filmmakers. During this time, he also wrote and directed four short films which screened internationally.

In 2017, David pursued his MFA study at San Francisco Art Institute, where he created three more short films, all finding their way onto the festival circuit.

David’s first feature Junho premiered in 2021 at CAAMFest, followed by eleven more international screenings, including AWFF, winning multiple awards.
